Dr. NG Fung Ping is an experienced teacher trainer and language education researcher who previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education and as a member of the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) at The University of Hong Kong. She graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where she also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (with Distinction) and a Master of Arts in Language Education. Dr. Ng further holds a Master of Arts in Chinese Linguistics (with Distinction) from The Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, a Diploma in Applied Linguistics from the Regional Language Centre (RELC) in Singapore, and a PhD from The University of Hong Kong. Her primary research areas include linguistics, the medium of instruction, classroom discourse analysis, reading pedagogy, and curriculum development and learning studies in Cantonese Opera education.
