
Poon, Ada Wan Man
Dr. Ada Wan Man Poon (潘溫文) is a Lecturer in the Academic Unit of Language and Literacy Education within the Faculty of Education at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and a member of the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER). She holds an M.A. from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, an M.Ed. and Professional Diploma in Applied Linguistics from Monash University, and a B.A. and Dip.Ed. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her teaching and research expertise focuses on Chinese language teacher education, pedagogical content knowledge, and language assessment. Dr. Poon has published extensively on Chinese curriculum design, with a strong focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening methodologies for non-Chinese speaking students. Her notable co-authored book chapters and research publications with Hong Kong University Press and CACLER examine effective literacy frameworks, picture-book reading initiatives, and assessment-driven learning models in local secondary education.
