Dr. Chun Lai is an Associate Professor of the Academic Unit of Language and Literacy Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology from Michigan State University. Her research mainly focuses on autonomous language learning with technology beyond the classroom, teacher agency in technology integration, and the professional development of language teachers.
Dr. Lai has published extensively in leading international journals in the fields of educational technology and language education, including Computer Assisted Language Learning, Language Learning & Technology, and Teaching and Teacher Education. She is also the author of the monograph "Autonomous Language Learning with Technology Beyond the Classroom." Her research interests encompass both English language education and teaching Chinese as a second/foreign language. In addition to her research and university teaching, she actively engages with the wider community to promote the effective use of digital technologies in language learning.
